A Level 2, 60-minute class from Lauren Eckstrom, Mermaid blends Power and Vinyasa yoga to open the hips and heart, work on backbends, increase flexibility in the shoulders...and everywhere else in the body!

Enjoy bending and twisting your way into Mermaid Pose, which opens the hips as it lengthens the back into a beautiful arch reminiscent of mermaid images. It allows the upper body to become buoyant while opening the heart and increasing strength.

Cultivate the power and fluidity of these mythical creatures and enjoy feeling both lighthearted and graceful once class is over. You’ll start yoga class on your back with a rolled-up towel placed underneath the mid to upper back. The idea is to open the back in preparation for practice.
