Gen Methot

Gen is a 400-hour certified yoga teacher and body therapist with over 8 years of experience guiding movement-based practices. She is deeply fascinated by the biomechanics of the body and believes that breath, movement, and awareness are powerful tools to reconnect—with ourselves, our bodies, and the present moment. In a world that often pulls us away from that connection, she sees yoga as a way to come back home to ourselves.
Her teaching style is rooted in Vinyasa, with influences from Hatha, Yin, and Restorative yoga. She enjoys building progressive, breath-led sequences that foster flow and embodied awareness. With a background in body therapy, she brings a functional and therapeutic lens into her classes, always respecting each student’s unique anatomy and needs.
She has taught in retreats, studios, on the beach, and online—in English and French. Her intention is to hold space for people to explore, reset, and feel more grounded in their own skin.
