Deepen your physical practice, release years of stored-up tension, find your vulnerability, add another layer to your understanding of yogic sciences, and explore the divine masculine and feminine energies within each and every one of us.
Join us for a specialized 100 Hour yin/yang yoga teacher training from the comfort of your own home. During this 6-week intensive we will dive deep into the practice of yin yoga, myofascial release, and myofascial elasticity. This training will count as 100 hours towards the Yoga Alliance advanced 300 hour certification.
A Yin-Yang is a symbol for balance between two opposite energies. Sun/Moon, Masculine/Feminine, Fire/Water, Strength/Surrender. Every human being has both yin and yang energies within themselves that they can learn to harness and transmute to others. The key to unlocking these energies can be found in the exploration of fascia. Fascia is the network that brings all of this together, it is the gateway to the energetic body.
This training will explore the foundational poses of yin yoga, as popularized by Paul Grilley and Sara Powers. We will also combine these teachings with elements of the 5 major fascial lines as discovered by Tom Myers in his groundbreaking book “Anatomy Trains”. We will learn to structure and sequence a yin yoga class, as it relates to the major fascial lines. There will also be instruction on basic techniques for myofascial release with ball therapy and foam rolling. As a student, you can expect to release years of tension and stress (who doesn’t need that after 2020), and also have a structure to be able to teach it to others.
The Yang portion of the training focuses on myofascial elasticity. This is a very exciting and new technique being developed within the movement community that adds a vital “missing link” to traditional vinyasa practices. Elastic movements are basically “pulses” designed to specifically target different parts of the body. This creates a tremendous amount of heat and strength in the body, while doing very simple movements.. It opens up the body and will create more mobility and youthful “bounce” to a practice. Think yoga meets martial arts and barre method. Incorporating elastic movement to a yoga practice is a game changer, whether your practice is beginners or advanced.
The training will also include exercises to help the student cultivate the divine masculine and feminine energies within each and every one of us. We will practice speaking with vulnerability and assertiveness to find each student’s authentic voice. This practice will help with relationships, leadership qualities, and confidence.
Upon completion of the 100 hours, you can expect to have a basic understanding of yin yoga, myofascial release, and elastic mobility exercises. You can also expect to have significant shifts in your asana and meditation practice, your public and private speaking, and your understanding of the myofascial lines and how they relate to the energetic body.

This training will give you a basic knowledge of yin yoga, and an overview of how to use myofascial release balls and foam rollers within a yin sequence. It will also teach you how to add elastic movements (pulses) to traditional hatha yoga poses to create strength, stability, and heat in the body.
This training, despite being virtual, is an intensive teacher training. In addition to the 4 LIVE sessions a week, you will be required to complete a weekly yin class twice a week, and a weekly yin/yang class twice a week. There will be additional meditations and weekly homework for a total of 16 hours per week of commitment. All classes and material will be recorded, however it is highly recommended that you attend a minimum of 50% of the classes LIVE on Zoom.
You should have a basic knowledge of yin and vinyasa yoga, but this training is for everybody and suitable to students of all levels. We recommend checking in with us if you have any pre-existing injuries before committing to the training.
No! Even though this training is part of a 300 hour advanced Yoga Alliance YTT, this training is suitable for anyone looking to deepen their practice and dive into the yin/yang space.
Yes, if you have already completed a level one, 200 hour training, then you will be certified to teach in these additional styles. If this is your first yoga training, then this training can be used in addition to a 200 hour certification to get you the hour needed to be considered YA compliant.
Absolutely!! You can expect to have a transformational experience physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually during the 6-week intensive. You can also expect to make deep and meaningful friendships, and strengthen your self-confidence through the vulnerability and assertiveness components of the training.
The yang portion of the training is strong, but very safe on the body. We will give you modifications for beginners and never encourage anyone to push beyond their edge. You can definitely expect to build some strength and sweat, but nobody will be expected to put their leg behind their head ;-)
An essential element in any training is the connection between not only the teachers and students but also between the students themselves. For this training, students are assigned accountability buddies that they are required to meet on a weekly basis to practice teaching one another. Students in our previous trainings have made some beautiful soul connections with their partners that are sure to extend well beyond the time frame of the course itself!
This YTT is 100 hours of a 300 hour advanced certification. These 100 hours can be transferred or combined with other programs to achieve your 300 hours. We will provide you with a certification of completion at the end of the course.
There will be a small amount of homework, but most of your homework will be spent practice teaching with your accountability partner. At the end of the training there will be a written test and a practice test. As long as a student has been participating regularly in the training, they can expect to pass these final exams.
The minimum age is 16 and there is no maximum age :-)
Yes, all requirements for completing the course need to be met within the 6 weeks. This training is semi-self paced; meaning you do not have to attend live sessions but are required to view them and complete all homework in a timely manner. Time management and self-discipline are essential in order to successfully complete the training.
There are 3 hour long live Zoom classes M-TH. Although we strongly encourage you to be present during the live sessions we understand that these are interesting times and many are juggling a number of other responsibilities which may not enable you to join us live. All sessions are recorded and uploaded so that you can view them at a time that is convenient for you.
If there are enough sign-ups in Europe and Asia, we will add an additional 2 hour session once a week to accommodate our international community.
