What style of yoga will I be trained in?

The styles you will be trained will predominately be Hatha Vinyasa. We delve into the different style of yoga in order to provide you with a well rounded educational experience. This teacher training draws from the major disciplines of yoga including Hatha Tantra, Vinyasa, Iyengar, and Kundalini

What is the time commitment for the training?

This training, despite being virtual, is an intensive teacher training. In addition to the Live classes 5 days a week, you will be required to complete a daily 90 minute home practice and set aside time to complete the weekly homework.

Do I need to have an existing yoga practice to join the training?

There are no prerequisites for being accepted into the training except for keeping an open heart and mind before embarking of this transformative journey. There are plenty of modifications and props to accommodate all body types.

Is The Yoga Collective Training Yoga Alliance certified?

The Yoga Collective is a registered yoga school with the Yoga Alliance. Upon completion of the training you will receive a Yoga Alliance certificate.

What is The Yoga Alliance ?

The Yoga Alliance is a non-profit association which represents and registers yoga teachers, studios and schools. It holds these certified yoga schools and teachers to certain standards to ensure that the training their students receive is adequate, complete, and safe.

What is the age range of the students doing the trainings?

The minimum age of students we accept is 16. We have no maximum age!

What if I'm already a certified yoga teacher? Can I still take this training?

Absolutely! All trainings are unique and different, and taking more than one 200-hour teacher training will enhance your skills and provide new perspectives and more in-depth understanding of yoga and how to apply it personally and professionally.

Will I have contact with other students outside of the live sessions?

An essential element in any training is the connection between not only the teachers and students but also between the students themselves. For this training, students are assigned partners that they are required to meet on a weekly basis to practice teaching one another. Students in our previous trainings have made some beautiful soul connections with their partners that are sure to extend well beyond the time frame of the course itself!

Do I need to complete the training within the 5 week time frame?

Yes, all requirements for the completing the course need to be met within the 5 weeks. This training is semi-self paced; meaning you do not have to attend live sessions but are required to view them and complete all homework in a timely manner. Time management and self-discipline are essential in order to successfully complete the training.

What if I can't attend the live Zoom sessions?

There are 3 hour long live Zoom classes M-F. Although we strongly encourage you to be present during the live sessions we understand that these are interesting times and many are juggling a number of other responsibilities which may not enable you to join us live. All sessions are recorded and upload so that you can view them at a time that is convenient for you.
