It seems that Yoga Retreats are popping up everywhere and it’s very likely some of your favorite yoga teachers lead retreats on a regular basis.

“Here are a few major factors to consider when deciding on your Yoga Retreat”
- Where – Do you have a specific destination in mind? Bali, Costa Rica, Mexico, Caribbean, Greece, Morocco? With so many exotic locations to choose from it could be a bit confusing. Maybe it’s destination you have dreamed of visiting and now this is the perfect excuse to go! This might be the primary deciding factor in choosing your retreat.
- Who – Are you choosing your retreat because of a certain teacher you have developed a relationship with in person or have tapped into during your online yoga sessions? This could be an equally important factor when it’s decision time. Comfort with a teachers personality and teaching style for some may be the most important factor.
- When – Retreats occur throughout the year, but Spring and Summer seem to be the most popular times due to work schedule. The Holidays are usually a great time as well. Who wouldn’t want to trade in the holiday turkey for some fresh fish and sunsets? Or ring in the new year surfing a perfect left?
- Extras – What else may you want to get out of your yoga retreat? Many retreats offer 2 daily yoga session (morning and evening) and catered healthy meals served daily. Extras may also be incorporated into the Retreat such as Surf, Service, Manifestation Workshops, Meditation, Kirtan (Devotional Chanting), Female Empowerment and so much more. This may the tipping point in your decision.
